I am a licensed clinical psychologist with focused training as a health and rehabilitation psychologist. I utilize a collaborative approach with patients to identify and implement the appropriate evidence-based interventions to meet the patient’s goals. I have specific experience and training in cognitive behavior therapy, acceptance and commitment therapy, brief health-focused interventions and motivational interviewing. I work with individuals facing a variety of concerns including:
adjustment to disability, adjustment to chronic illness, managing chronic health conditions, managing chronic pain, tinnitus, obsessive compulsive disorder, and depression/anxiety.
I received my Doctorate in Clinical Psychology with a specialization in Health Psychology from The Ohio State University in Columbus, Ohio. I have experience working with adults of diverse backgrounds in inpatient, outpatient, community and veteran health settings. I have specific interest and expertise in rehabilitation psychology and completed my postdoctoral fellowship at The Ohio State University Dodd Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation Hospital working with patients and families of individuals with traumatic brain injury, spinal cord injury, stroke, cancer and other health conditions.
